Sedation Dentistry Benefits
Anxiety and Fear Reduction
Sedation dentistry is particularly beneficial for patients who experience dental anxiety or fear. It helps calm their nerves and creates a more relaxed and comfortable dental experience. By reducing anxiety, patients are more likely to undergo necessary dental procedures without undue stress.
Increased Comfort
Sedation helps patients feel more at ease during dental procedures. It can alleviate physical discomfort, such as pain or sensitivity, and reduce the sensation of gagging or discomfort caused by prolonged mouth opening. This allows dentists to perform procedures more efficiently and effectively.
Time Efficiency
Sedation dentistry enables dentists to work more efficiently. When patients are relaxed and cooperative, procedures can be completed more quickly and accurately. This is particularly beneficial for complex or time-consuming treatments that may otherwise require multiple appointments.
Reduced Gag Reflex
Some individuals have a hypersensitive gag reflex, which can make dental procedures challenging. Sedation helps suppress the gag reflex, making it easier for dentists to perform thorough examinations and treatments without triggering discomfort or reflexive responses.
Increased Treatment Accessibility
Sedation dentistry expands access to dental care for patients who would otherwise avoid or delay treatment due to fear or anxiety. By providing a relaxed and comfortable environment, sedation allows individuals to receive necessary dental care, maintain oral health, and prevent further complications.
Enhanced Safety and Control
Sedation dentistry allows dentists to have better control over the patient's comfort and response during procedures. It helps in minimizing sudden movements or reactions that may compromise safety. Additionally, advanced monitoring and supervision during deeper sedation levels ensure the patient's vital signs are closely monitored.

Replacing the top or bottom arch of teeth with standard dental implants would require an implant for each tooth. Alternatively, All-on-4 uses just four implants to replace the top or bottom row of teeth. The treatment works even if the patient has no teeth at all. As explained in this article by the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the four implants support the entire arch of replacement teeth. Also, this treatment does not require bone grafting. The implants will fuse with the existing bone and become part of the jaw. Because some of the implants are set at an angle, they are longer and offer more support.

Dr. Holovnia is outstanding. Most Dentists usually come in for the last two minutes but he made a point to introduce himself early on. He walked through each x-ray with me and was incredibly thorough. At times I forgot I was even at the dentist. I did not feel rushed and was able to address my concerns, treatment plan questions, etc. I would recommend Dr. H and the CFD to anyone. I am looking forward to my follow up visits
